Left to right and front to back: Kayla's shoes, age 3, Weston's, same age, one of Kaylie's flip flops. It seems Steve has kicked one of the shoes under the dresser. Hhhmmphh. And I am such a neatnick.
Next: Aaron's boots from OIF 1 and my jungle boots from Panama.
Kayla, Weston and Kaylie all had to "earn" their shoes place next to something as grand as mine and Aaron's boots. Their obstacle course was the huge slide across the street in a little city park. With Kayla and Weston, I went behind them. Right behind! Kaylie was older, 4 or 5, I think.
For the newbees here: Kayla is my niece and currently letting me down as a writer. (see above). I guess Christmas comes before my Variety Blog here, so ...
Weston is Lisa's grandson. Lisa is my sister, Kayla & Zach's mom, Roy's wife, also Gary, and his wife, Karen, are our brother and sister in law, my such a very long sentence for such tiny shoes.
Weston calls me Nomi and Lisa Mimi. Kayla calls Lisa Mom and me Auntie, but she spells it Aunty. Neither one of us will switch.
And Kaylie is the daughter of Tiffany. Tiffany and Aaron were supposed to marry on December 11, 2004.
