Finaly figured out how to add comments, thanks to Karen. Thank's De'on for all you're doing and all your words.
This is the 2x4 tree the Seabees built for our MWR tent...a place for all troops (Seabees, Marines, and Army) at COP South to come and relax after hours or when not on watch. All care package extras would be placed in the tent to share with all on board COP South. It worked well and really played a key role in keeping troop morale up.
I'm always amazed at troops. Probably more of the troops fare better and set more of an example of the true meaning of Christmas than most anyone I know. Especially when they're deployed like this. I watched it in Panma too. And the leadership really gave their all in doing what they could to encourage the spirit of Christmas.
Thanks for everything Rich. We appreciate you participating this way and I'm really interested in what I'm learning.
About the most I do is pass on the news and info you guys create, so I'm very appreciative of what you can add. I do hope you'll feel the freedom to interject and develop on what I come up with to post concerning your missions, experiences and thoughts. Ideas for the future. I enjoyed talking with you after you came home and if we could get that in writing, that'd be great.
Not a lot of people comment, but we know we have some readers that are interested in what you have to say.
It's always good to hear from you and I look forward to more.
Merry Christmas to you and the family. I know Karen was excited for you to be here!
Me - I'm interested!
Thank you, Rich, for all you are doing for all of us!!
May the Blessings of Christmas be with all at Gunz Up!
Thanks FG. I was just about to come visiting! How was your Christmas?
What an awesome Christmas tree. I know being with family is special at Christmas, but I would assume that Christmas in that circumstance with that much thought on a tree for the holidays has got to be the most memorable one of all for either being good or not so good. That takes a special person or persons to keep the meaning of Christmas even in a bad circumstance. Just like that has been said, Keep on, keeping on. Thanks troops for your moral, that is what keeps me going!
