Many Hurricane Katrina victims fled to Dallas/Fort Worth where the communities rushed to help them. I covered the story and Thomas took this picture to go along with it. These two girls walked up to Thomas, and the one on the right put her hands on her hips and said, "Take our picture!" So he did. We loved it.

This is cute. Kids are amazing at how they handle hardship so much of the time.
Kids are tough, and they can handle tough times if it's explained to them.
