Buds and beer? LOL. That's true, the last time I had a beer was when I was in the Corps. It's just a very natural thing to do it seemed and we all looked forward to being able to turn ourselves loose every now and again. It was our way of maintaining a close knit brotherhood.
A "forever" one, no doubt, regardless if you ever talk again, the bond is there.
After this many years, I so wish I'd kept in touch with my own buds.
