Writings and musings on the eccentric beauty of sacrifice. Come journey and write with us. We are resolved to capture something positive in a troubled world and laugh when we can along the way. This, then, is dedicated in Loving Memory to LCpl. Aaron C. Austin, USMC KIA Fallujah, Iraq on April 26, 2004. Rock On...

De'on.......I have two more letters that both Aaron and I recieved that I'll need to get up here form General Mattis. Once before we crossed in '03 and the other when he led us back in '04. His letters have never failed to inspire me. Through two succesive Division Commanders following the warhorse Mattis, I kept his letters framed in my classroom and in my home and never failed to read them on a weekly if not daily basis. It takes leaders like thse to get men of will in the right mindset for the fight.
Oh that'd be great. He is a great and inspiring man with the pen. I noticed that right off.
How are all the little things going for you? Great I hope!
