Writings and musings on the eccentric beauty of sacrifice. Come journey and write with us. We are resolved to capture something positive in a troubled world and laugh when we can along the way. This, then, is dedicated in Loving Memory to LCpl. Aaron C. Austin, USMC KIA Fallujah, Iraq on April 26, 2004. Rock On...

When I lived in Dallas, I often got to visit with a sailor who survived Pearl Harbor. His mother, a great lady, lived next door to me, and he visited her frequently to check on her. I never tired of hearing about Dec. 7, 1941, and how Americans pulled together in an instant after the attack.
This group of pictures, with the blue star, is great.
Super nice picture De'on; I remember you writing about him back in December. :)
