Writings and musings on the eccentric beauty of sacrifice. Come journey and write with us. We are resolved to capture something positive in a troubled world and laugh when we can along the way. This, then, is dedicated in Loving Memory to LCpl. Aaron C. Austin, USMC KIA Fallujah, Iraq on April 26, 2004. Rock On...

Happy Birthday!!! Hope you have a great one!
Thank you, Semper Fi Mom ... I know I will.
Happy, happy Birthday!
Happy birthday, my friend!!!
Oh thank you my dear friends! It's a wonderful day. The old turtle is going at a rapid pace compared to me and the babies. They're all snoring. (The pets--the kids are gone to Hobbs.) Yes, Donna too. From now on, when I say kids, just include Donna in that. Jerrod's mom is the funnest person in the whole world.
If you ever watched Designing Women, Donna is Delta Burke to an absolute tee. Her voice, her thoughts, everything.
Tomorrow is Jerrod's birthday. Aaron never remembered mine, but always Jerrod's. Of course, Aaron's mom never missed the opportunity to point this out to him.
He'd say something like, "Tomorrow is Jerrod's birthday."
"I know," I'd say. "It comes one day after your mother's!" :)
I wonder if I'll have to cook tonight?
I love you all!
Happy Birthday, my sweet sister. I hope the 2 turtle doves are near and watching you write. Gary called and left birthday messages for you yesterday. I'm glad Jarrod was here for your special day. If not for the ice storm, I would have come to see him.(I haven't left my house in 2 days!) I love you.
I got my faithful brother's message. He always calls for special occassions. Tell him I love him and I worry about them on these roads.
Dad sounded like he had a wonderful time there. He always does.
Don't worry about it Delta Don ...he'll have another one next year! :)
