O Lord,

do not let William

grow up too quickly

may he make no Decisions

without consulting me first.

may he still find his greatest Pleasure

in my company.

I know he is

developing new interests,

and making new friends,

but I do want to share in

every part of his Life.

remind him constantly of

all that he Owes to his parents.

Prevent him from

growing too independent.

and if he must have a Girl,

let it be that

sweet little Cynthia Black.
