I was stationed there for 18 months once. A lot of history on that island. There are Japanese pill boxes still on the coast lines...
Gunz what are pill boxes? I hate to ask questions that might sound uneducational or civilian like, but I usually have a ton of questions. Ask my husband. I love the internet. But is that a military statement of some kind?

No problem. Pill boxes is miltary jargon for a fortified gun position. Usually a concrete bunker with slits ( narrow horizontal openings) to shoot their weapons through.
On Guam they had lots of them and some are still there along the coast lines. They carved out large rock formations with openings and 'slits' in them. Amazing to think how much work was put into it to create them.
They'll be there forever I suppose.
