Writings and musings on the eccentric beauty of sacrifice. Come journey and write with us. We are resolved to capture something positive in a troubled world and laugh when we can along the way. This, then, is dedicated in Loving Memory to LCpl. Aaron C. Austin, USMC KIA Fallujah, Iraq on April 26, 2004. Rock On...

I remember the day in October of last year that I received this e-mail from Rich. He was so proud of how this bridge project went. At the end of his e-mail, he said,"It was a good day." Can't wait for more.

You got it girl! I love you and I hope that every sister in the world is as loyal and proud of her family member in uniform as you are.
You're an inspiration!
No, De'on, you are my inspiration. By the time Rich was called upon, I had already learned from you and Lisa how to support a loved one deployed. Anything I did, I learned from you, Lisa and Aaron.
Rich called today to let me know he is flying in next weekend for Christmas. I can't wait to get together with everyone. Love you, my sister.
You put the icing on our cake, Karen! I'd never in my life heard of hot coffees, mochas, frappa-somethings of every sort! Aaron would have kept me broke if we'd known of something like that. The Chunky Soups alone kept us hopping and spending!
They all could use any of these items we can help send. It's a bit of Christmas in any day I'll bet.
