I wish I knew more about a particular great uncle of mine that has since passed away. He was a WW2 Navy vet that served on on 2 ships that were BOTH sunk as a result of Kamakazi and bombing attacks. Amazing how he even survived the war...

Now Ebyjo would like to submit stories of her late grandfather I'm sure. She has some great pics as well.

Hey Gunz,
It would be awesome if you'd write what you know about you're great uncle. Even if the information isn't complete, what you know about him would be interesting. Someone surviving two Kamakazi attacks is incredible. Tell us about it!

I'll send stuff when I am home. I am very proud of my gandfather, who was trained at Fort Dix. He was a brave and good man.

Steve I'll check with my dad on what he might know that I don't. I 'll see if I can come up with something that has a bit of substance to it. I dunno but I'll see.

Cool. Looking forward to it.

Gunz, there is a lot more I don't know about my relatives than do. On Uncle Charles, I really don't know anything except that he was at Pearl Harbor the day it was bombed. So, like Steve said, even if it's a few facts. Let's honor any we can. The stories are quickly disappearing.

Ebyjo, that will be great to get yours. Thanks!
