The oathes, codes of honor and brotherhood that every division of our Military has is why our's is the best in the world. I was watching President Ford's funeral procession last night and my heart swelled with such pride for our Military. Everything they do has such symbolism, precision, perfection in every movement, paying the closest attention to guarding, protecting our fallen and thier families. At one point during the procession, First Lady Mrs. Ford, standing in our Capitol, watching as the procession slowly passed her, coughed and shook just a little. The Military guard, assigned to stand with her, reached over and with a his gloved hand patted her tiny hand that was holding on to his arm. Such a caring and protective gesture, I cried.
We love you Troops. You are why we are "The Land of the Free" and we are truly the "Home of the Brave". We have the bravest men and women of any nation in the world.
Thank you Doc Duty, Sgt Rhett and all of our troops for doing what you do and being who you are, Our Beloved Warriors. I wish you all a safe and happy New Year.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
